On November 10, 2006, Eka Chemicals Inc. and OCI Chemical announced that the two companies entered into a joint venture forming EkO Peroxide LLC, headquartered in Columbus, MS.

The new company, EkO Peroxide LLC, owns and administers Eka’s existing 70,000st hydrogen peroxide production plant in Columbus, MS, utilizing the existing knowledgeable manpower in manufacturing and logistics, distributing product throughout North America. This facility provides a necessary raw material for our Sodium Percarbonate plant located in Decatur, Alabama, as well as various grades for the merchant markets. 

The two companies, Eka and OCI, will continue to manage sales and customer service to their respective markets.
